Witchploitation:<\/em> el cine como expresi\u00f3n contrafeminista<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

El texto plantea que durante las d\u00e9cadas de los sesenta y setenta, la imagen de la bruja fue relevante en importantes movimientos religiosos, pol\u00edticos y sociales. As\u00ed, los imaginarios cinematogr\u00e1ficos se volvieron terreno f\u00e9rtil para su arquetipo; uno de ellos fue el witchploitation<\/a><\/em>, una particular expresi\u00f3n f\u00edlmica surgida a contracorriente del entonces incipiente feminismo posmoderno.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

El art\u00edculo publicado en Ventana Indiscreta<\/a> hace menci\u00f3n de varias producciones en torno a las brujas como H\u00e4xan <\/a><\/em>(Christensen, 1922), Rosemary\u2019s Baby <\/a><\/em>(Polansky, 1968), The Witchmaker<\/em> <\/a>(Brown, 1969), Hexen bis aufs Blut gequ\u00e4lt<\/a><\/em> (Armstrong, 1970), Season of the Witch<\/a><\/em> (Romero, 1972), Virgin Witch<\/a><\/em> (Austin, 1972), Suspiria <\/a><\/em>(Argento, 1977) y The Love Witch<\/a><\/em> (Biller, 2016), al tiempo que se intercalan planteamientos te\u00f3ricos de Laura Mulvey<\/a> para problematizar acerca de la preponderancia de la mirada masculina, el surgimiento del subg\u00e9nero cinematogr\u00e1fico witchploitation<\/em> y su conexi\u00f3n con el contexto hist\u00f3rico y pol\u00edtico que lo vio nacer, as\u00ed como su posible reivindicaci\u00f3n bajo una relectura feminista, tal y como se propone en la cinta de 2016, dirigida por Anna Biller, The Love Witch<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pese al se\u00f1alamiento de las expresiones contrafeministas presentes en el witchploitation<\/em>, el autor del texto no deja de mostrar cierta condescendencia hacia al subg\u00e9nero, mencionando que las pel\u00edculas witchploitation <\/em>resultan din\u00e1micas y entretenidas, aunque sean mis\u00f3ginas, est\u00e9n mal escritas, mal dirigidas y muchas veces, tambi\u00e9n, mal actuadas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
