Con intervenciones de Peg Aloi, Pam Grossman, Dianca London Potts, Heather Greene <\/a>y Kristen Soll\u00e9e<\/a>, la pel\u00edcula documental Les Sorci\u00e8res \u00e0 Hollywood <\/em>reflexiona en torno a la representaci\u00f3n del arquetipo de la bruja a trav\u00e9s del cine, realizando un recorrido cronol\u00f3gico a partir de la revisi\u00f3n de una serie de pel\u00edculas de producci\u00f3n estadounidense como Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs<\/a><\/em> (Disney, Hans, 1937), The Wizard of Oz<\/a><\/em> (Fleming, 1939) I Married a Witch<\/a><\/em> (Clair, 1942), Bell, Book and Candle<\/em> <\/a>(Quine, 1958), Rosemary\u2019s Baby<\/a><\/em> (Polansky, 1968), Season of the Witch<\/a><\/em> (Romero, 1972), Carrie<\/em> <\/a>(De Palma, 1976), The Witches of Eastwick<\/a><\/em> (Miller, 1987), The Craft<\/em> <\/a>(Fleming, 1996), la saga cinematogr\u00e1fica inspirada por las novelas de Harry Potter<\/em> y Maleficent<\/em> (Roth, 2014).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Si bien a lo largo del documental dirigido por Peryard se exponen un conjunto importante de argumentaciones coincidentes con las desplegadas a lo largo este trabajo, hay ciertos planteamientos que pueden resultar muy discutibles, tales como la sobre-interpretaci\u00f3n semi\u00f3tica realizada por Peg Aloi en torno a las zapatillas rojas de Dorothy en The Wizard of Oz<\/em> o la selecci\u00f3n espec\u00edfica de la saga cinematogr\u00e1fica  de Harry Potter <\/em>y Maleficent <\/em>como las pel\u00edculas m\u00e1s referenciales para aproximarse al arquetipo cinematogr\u00e1fico de la bruja en el siglo XXI. En realidad, el v\u00ednculo del universo de Harry Potter<\/em> con el arquetipo de la bruja no es tan cercano como pudiera parecer, ya que, aunque haya ciertos elementos iconogr\u00e1ficos que denoten una aparente proximidad (como los sombreros puntiagudos o los vuelos en escobas), los personajes de la saga creada por J. K. Rowling son much\u00edsimo m\u00e1s allegados a la hechicer\u00eda fant\u00e1stica, a la alquimia, a la nigromancia y a la magia, antes que a la brujer\u00eda y sus inevitables inherencias con los pactos sat\u00e1nicos. Caso parecido lo que sucede con el personaje de Mal\u00e9fica, la cual, aunque pudiera parecer tener cierta cercan\u00eda con la variante vamp-femme fatale<\/em> de la bruja, ciertamente no presenta los suficientes elementos simb\u00f3licos e iconogr\u00e1ficos para considerarla como una bruja a cabalidad, siendo m\u00e1s bien, ante todo, una suerte de hada-hechicera malvada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
